Day 1: Marrakech to Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate to Dades Valley
On the first day of your 3-day desert tour from marrakech to fes we’ll start in Marrakech. After breakfast your driver will pick you up and you’ll drive through villages on the way. The first stop is Ait Ben Haddou a famous village known for being in movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator…etc Then we will head to Ouarzazate known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where we will visit movie studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt. and also pass through the beautiful Dades Valley full of smaller Kasbahs before arriving at your hotel for the night.
Day 2: Dades Valley to Todra Gorge to Sahara Desert (Merzouga)
On the second day of your 3 days desert tour from marrakech to fes after breakfast we’ll leave Dades Valley and head toward the Merzouga Desert. Along the way we’ll see gorgeous gorges and the biggest palm tree valley in Morocco. We will stop for lunch in a local restaurant before reaching Merzouga where you will stay overnight in a Berber camp hidden behind sand dunes.
After riding camels to the luxury desert camp you can relax and take shower in a cozy tent and explore the soft sands. The day ends with a traditional Berber dinner and some fun music and dancing and enjoy stay under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga to Ziz Valley to Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane to Fes
On the final day of your 3 days tour from marrakech to fes you’ll wake up early to see a beautiful desert sunrise, take some pictures and have breakfast. After that we’ll start the drive through changing landscapes, from the desert to forests and valleys and the snowy Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop at Ziz Valley to admire the view and then pass through the green Tizi Ntlghamt mountains where you’ll see nomads.
We’ll have lunch in Midelt known as the “Apple Capital,” and then continue through the Cedar Forest where we can stop to see monkeys. Next we’ll visit Ifrane often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” where we’ll stop by the famous Lion Statue.
